"Daddy, you look like a super hero"

Six years ago, I was in Costa Rica on vacation with my wife. At the time, I thought I was in decent shape for a dad of a 2 year old little girl. I weight trained 5-6 days a week in addition to some moderate cardio. It wasn't until I saw the picture my wife took of me (above on the left) that I realized I had let myself go. I REALLY let myself go.

I realized that my body no longer agreed with the additional snacking here and there. My metabolism was much different than the one just a few years prior when I was competitive bodybuilder for many years. It was a necessary awakening that my habits had become sloppy and my discipline had been compromised.

I had to remind myself who I am, what I am capable of, and what I wanted for myself.

I then put it on paper and developed a plan to not only achieve it, but to sustain it. And the product of that is what you see in the other photos above.

It's a commitment!

Client Testimonies

“When I first started working out with John Bishop, I had never worked out in a gym before and was very intimidated by the thought of it. John met me where I was and helped me get comfortable, stay safe and start to make gains. I always tell him I value the camaraderie of our time together in the gym at least as much as the physical gains I make there. Probably more. He’s a fantastic guy to be around and takes interest in who you are and pushes you when needed.“

"I'm not sure where to start when it comes to the impact John has had on my life over the past three years. As my friend and fitness mentor, he's been instrumental in helping me reignite my passion for weight training and transform my body in ways I never thought possible.John's guidance and expertise have been invaluable in pushing me to new heights, both physically and mentally. He's helped me set and achieve ambitious goals, from adding muscle mass to increasing my overall strength. But more than that, he's held me accountable every step of the way, providing a sense of motivation and discipline. But John's impact goes far beyond the gym. He's helped me grow as a person, as a man, and as a father. His influence has seeped into every area of my life, reminding me of the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He's shown me that with consistent effort and a willingness to push myself outside of my comfort zone, I'm capable of achieving so much more. John's not just a fitness coach - he's a mentor, a motivator, and a friend. He's helped me unlock a level of potential I never knew I had, and for that, I'll be forever grateful. If you're looking for someone to help you achieve your fitness goals and transform your life, look no further than John. He's the real deal, and I'm honored to call him my friend."

About me

My name is John Bishop. I grew up in a lower income suburb in Ohio. I was raised primarily by my mom. We were on welfare, spent time in faith mission food pantries, enjoyed occasional dumpster diving and frequently choked down frozen Salisbury steak tv dinners. That was my normal and I was happy. At the age of 8, I started mowing lawns, raking leaves, and shoveling driveways around our community. Had quite the list of clients.

As I grew into my teenage years I began to realize I didn’t want that for my life and started casting vision for myself. Employed at 14 and literally started working at McDonalds on my 14th birthday. That was also the same year that I began hitting the weights hard. Happened to also be the age that I first saw a Lamborghini in person which made me feel like I had to own one some day. My dad was a gear head, so it’s kind of engrained in my DNA. I love cars but love making memories with my family more. Got even heavier into working out as the years went on.

I joined the Army in 2006 and got stationed in California at the age of 20 after dropping out of college and playing baseball desperately needing a change as my life was heading in a downward direction and quite frankly I had to get away from that environment. Had to change the direction of my future before I had no future. Started competing in bodybuilding for about 6 years.

After the Army in 2009 and squaring myself away, I began competitive bodybuilding and then went through a few more years of schooling and a couple careers/ jobs before landing an opportunity in the oil & gas industry which radically changed my life both financially and mentally. Major life shift. That job took me to Houston, Texas for several years. Loved Texas and the BBQ.

Married my wife in 2014. Purchased our first home in 2015. I have earned, learned, lost and experienced a lot all through the ups and downs of life, business, relationships and entrepreneurship. I believe in Jesus. My wife and I have 2 beautiful children together, a couple businesses, and a healthy real estate portfolio.

I start my day off with a workout at 6am, work on my dream throughout the day and am sound asleep by 10pm.
